The path from manga to movie has been unique. The anime film was announced in May 2024 at the prestigious Annecy International Animation Film Festival. It is directed by Kenji Iwaisawa, best known for On-Gaku, and produced by Rock ’n’ Roll Mountain with support from Pony Canyon, TBS, and Asmik Ace.
Fans were given an early look at unfinished footage during Annecy 2024, and the completed film is scheduled to premiere at the same festival in June 2025.

Plot Overview
100 Meters is about Togashi, a lightning-fast runner who always wins the 100-meter race. That changes when Komiya, a determined new kid, joins his school in sixth grade. Togashi helps train Komiya, and the two become connected through running.
Years later, they meet again in high school, but now they are rivals racing for victory. The film promises thrilling races, strong emotions, and a story where every second can decide everything.
