2025 American Manga Awards Nominees Revealed Ahead of Anime NYC

The nominations for the second annual American Manga Awards have been officially announced, setting the stage for the highly anticipated winners’ reveal at Anime NYC. The popular convention is scheduled to take place from August 21-24 at the Javits Center in New York City. Alongside the nominee list, voter registration has now opened for eligible industry professionals.

This year’s prestigious Manga Publishing Hall of Fame Award will be presented to Studio Proteus. This pioneering manga translation and publishing group played a pivotal role in establishing manga’s presence in North America, with their notable contributions including works such as Blade of the Immortal, Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind, and Ghost in the Shell.
