Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Hinokami Chronicles 2 is scheduled for release on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam in North America and Europe on August 5th.
Crunchyroll offers streaming of the TV anime series, the Mugen Train Arc movie (both subbed and dubbed), and the current Hashira Training Arc. The upcoming Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle movie trilogy is set to begin with its first part premiering in Japan on July 18th, with international releases to follow.
The synopsis for Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba is as follows:
The setting is Japan during the Taisho Period. Tanjiro, a compassionate young boy earning a living by selling charcoal, returns home to find his family brutally murdered by a demon. Tragically, his younger sister Nezuko survives but has been transformed into a demon.
Despite this devastating turn of events, Tanjiro makes the resolute decision to become a “demon slayer.” His goal is twofold: to find a way to turn his sister back into a human and to avenge his family by slaying the demon responsible for their deaths.
