Crunchyroll is joining hands with Delta Air Lines to bring anime to passengers during their flights. From late 2025, travelers will be able to watch thousands of anime shows and movies right on their seatback screens or their own devices.

This means long flights can turn into exciting hours filled with colorful stories, amazing worlds, and unforgettable characters.

Crunchyroll Joins Delta for In-Flight Entertainment

Later this year, Delta Air Lines will add a special selection of anime from Crunchyroll to its in-flight entertainment system. This will include more than 2,000 shows and movies with over 50,000 episodes, adding up to around 25,000 hours of viewing.

Passengers can watch these on about 169,000 seatback screens across Delta’s planes. If they connect to Delta Sync Wi-Fi, they can also enjoy the content on their devices on more than 900 aircraft.

Delta is also giving SkyMiles members a bonus. Those who connect to Delta Sync Wi-Fi will get a free 24-hour trial of Crunchyroll’s streaming service, which they can use both during their flight and after they land. This makes it easy for passengers to keep watching the shows they discover while traveling.

Rahul Purini, the President of Crunchyroll, said there is nothing better on a long flight than getting lost in anime’s worlds and stories, and he hopes passengers will keep watching through the Crunchyroll app after they land.

Julieta McCurry, Delta’s VP of In-Flight Entertainment and Connectivity, said the partnership helps Delta bring entertainment that matches what passengers truly enjoy.

This team-up is a big step forward for in-flight entertainment. It combines Crunchyroll’s huge anime library with Delta’s worldwide flights, giving passengers the chance to turn long hours in the air into exciting adventures filled with vibrant stories and characters
