Crunchyroll Uploads Fall Behind Schedule, Fans React

Crunchyroll, one of the most popular platforms for anime streaming, has been releasing new episodes later than usual this summer, leaving many fans waiting longer than expected. Episodes that normally appear on time have sometimes shown up hours later or even the next day.

What makes things worse is that Crunchyroll has not explained the reason for these delays, which has left viewers feeling confused and frustrated.

Anime Fans Frustrated as Crunchyroll Delays Continue

Crunchyroll is well known for streaming new episodes quickly after they air in Japan, but this season has been different. Many shows, such as Rascal Does Not Dream of Santa Claus, Detective Conan, A Couple of Cuckoos, Necronomicon, and the Cosmic Horror Show, Turkey! Time to Strike and Mr. Osomatsu have been uploaded much later than expected.

Fans have had to wait several hours, and sometimes even a whole day, which breaks the usual routine of watching new episodes right away.

The delays have led to a lot of disappointment among subscribers. Viewers pay for Crunchyroll expecting quick access, but the lack of timely uploads makes them feel let down. Adding to the frustration, Crunchyroll has not made any official statement explaining the problem. Many fans on social media have pointed out that even a short message saying “we are working on it” would be enough to ease worries. Instead, the silence has made the situation feel worse.

Another concern is that late uploads push fans toward unofficial streaming sites, where episodes often appear earlier. This hurts Crunchyroll’s image, as people may question why they should pay for a service that does not deliver on time when free alternatives seem faster. Over time, repeated delays without explanation could damage the trust Crunchyroll has built with its audience.
