To commemorate its 10th anniversary, “Death Note: The Musical,” which first debuted in April 2015, is set for a new run in Japan this November. This special production will feature a mix of fresh and familiar faces.
Tamiya Kuriyama will helm the direction of this anniversary staging of “Death Note: The Musical.” Performances are scheduled to begin in November at the Tokyo Tatemono Brillia HALL. Specific dates and additional details are expected to be announced in the future.

The principal cast includes:
- Light Yagami will be portrayed by Seishiro Kato and Ao Watanabe in a double-casting.
- The role of L will be taken on by Hiroki Miura.
- Misa Amane will be played by Riho Sayashi.
- Sayo Yagami will be portrayed by RIKO from HUNNY BEE.
- Megumi Hamada will play Rem.
- Kenji Urai, who previously played Light Yagami in the 2015 and 2017 productions, will return to the musical as Ryuk.
- Soichiro Yagami will be played by Kiyotaka Imai.

Notably, Kenji Urai’s return as Ryuk marks an interesting shift, as he originally starred as Light Yagami in earlier productions. This time, he will be acting opposite two new performers who will share the role of Light.
