A new trailer for Demon Slayer: The Hinokami Chronicles 2 is out now. It shows the first look at the Swordsmith Village Arc from the game’s story mode. The game comes out on August 5. You can play the game on PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One and Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC (Steam) in North America and Europe.
This trailer follows the announcement of new playable characters. It adds more excitement as fans look forward to the game’s expanded story. Pre-orders are already open, with multiple editions offering early unlocks and additional content.
Demon Slayer: The Hinokami Chronicles 2 Pre-Order Details
Players will have three versions to choose from: Digital Standard, Digital Deluxe, and a Physical Edition.
The Digital Deluxe Edition costs $69.99 USD. It includes the base game and unlock keys for Hashira like Tengen Uzui, Sanemi Shinazugawa, and Gyomei Himejima. You also get special outfits for Tanjiro, Inosuke, and Tengen. A special voice set for Upper Rank demons is included, along with early access to Muichiro Tokito and Mitsuri Kanroji as pre-order bonuses.
The Digital Standard Edition (at $59.99 USD) includes the base game, two unlock keys for Kimetsu Academy versions of Rengoku and Uzui, and the same pre-order bonuses as the Deluxe version.
The Physical Edition, also priced at $59.99 USD, includes the base game and two unlock keys—Muichiro Tokito and Mitsuri Kanroji—for early use in versus mode.
Franchise Momentum Builds
The game’s release is part of a wider wave of momentum for the Demon Slayer franchise. Crunchyroll continues to stream the full anime series, including the Mugen Train and Hashira Training arcs, in multiple language formats. The upcoming Infinity Castle movie trilogy will start showing in Japan on July 18. It will arrive in North American theaters on September 12.
