Hell’s Paradise: Jigokuraku is set to return with a highly anticipated second season. Studio MAPPA, the team behind popular titles like Jujutsu Kaisen, Chainsaw Man, and Attack on Titan: Final Season, has released a new trailer confirming that the anime will premiere in January 2026.

Hell’s Paradise: Jigokuraku Confirms Season 2

The first season aired in 2023 with thirteen episodes and quickly stood out for its intense mix of action and horror. It followed Gabimaru the Hollow and his allies as they battled for survival on the twisted island of Shinsenkyo, a place filled with monsters, secrets, and the mysterious Tensen. The trailer for season two hints at even greater chaos, with new characters entering the story and the brutal fight for the Elixir of Life continuing.

The upcoming season will also introduce fresh voices to the cast, with Ryota Suzuki, Koji Yusa, Maaya Uchida, and Sayaka Ohara taking on important roles. Their characters will join the deadly struggle on the island, bringing new challenges and shifting dynamics to Gabimaru’s journey.

Season one ended with Gabimaru facing not only external enemies but also the strange mental effects caused by the island itself. Meanwhile, the group of prisoners and executioners struggled against the terrifying Tensen, near-immortal beings who seemed almost impossible to defeat. Season two looks ready to expand on these conflicts, raising the stakes for everyone involved.

The timing of the release is especially interesting because MAPPA has an incredibly packed schedule. Alongside Hell’s Paradise, the studio is preparing Jujutsu Kaisen season three for early 2026 and will soon bring Chainsaw Man: The Reze Arc movie to audiences. Even with so many projects on its plate, Hell’s Paradise stands out as one of the studio’s most chilling and brutal works, and its return promises to push the tension and violence even further.
