My Hero Academia Season 8 Is Coming This Year
Studio BONES is once again handling the animation, and director Naomi Nakayama is returning to lead the final season. Season 8 is set to premiere in October 2025, marking the end of the series after nearly ten years.
The new armored version of All Might was first shown at the end of Season 7. This look sets the stage for his final showdown with the powerful villain, All For One. Streaming platform Crunchyroll confirmed that it will carry the upcoming season and recently debuted the first promotional trailer and key visual.
A Decade of Heroics Comes to a Close
The My Hero Academia manga by Kohei Horikoshi ran in Weekly Shonen Jump from July 2014 to August 2024. It earned widespread acclaim over ten years. The series ended with tributes and artwork from fans and fellow creators.
The anime adaptation began in 2016, with Studio BONES delivering seven seasons that chronicled the growth of Izuku Midoriya and his classmates at U.A. High. Season 7 wrapped up on October 12, 2024, leaving fans eager for the final chapter in the story.

Beyond the television series, the franchise expanded with four feature films. The most recent, My Hero Academia: You’re Next, was released on Blu-ray and DVD in Japan on February 19, 2025.
