The popular manga Petals of Reincarnation is finally getting an anime! On August 4, 2025, the first trailer and key visual were released, giving fans a first look at the upcoming series. The anime is set to premiere in 2026 and will feature a talented team and voice cast.

Petals of Reincarnation Unveils Trailer, Key Visual, and More
The animation studio BENTEN Film, now part of a group that uses AI in animation, has released the first trailer and a main visual for Petals of Reincarnation. The visual shows swirling flower petals, ghostly sword spirits, and mysterious characters in fog, giving a strong supernatural and action vibe.
The main staff for the anime was also announced. Shun Kudo is the director, and Atsuo Ishino is in charge of the story structure. Haruna Kato is designing the characters, with help from Sayaka “Saki” Ono. Kōsuke Murayama is the assistant director, Kentarō Azuma is in charge of action scenes, and Yukio Nagasaki is handling the sound.
The music is being created by popular composer Kohta Yamamoto, and Pony Canyon is producing the soundtrack. Sentai Filmworks, through HIDIVE, is co-producing the anime and will stream it outside Japan. The trailer also revealed the main voice actors. Shōya Chiba plays the main character, Tōya Senji.

Wakana Maruoka voices Haito Luo Buffett, a strong Kendo fighter, and Ayane Sakura plays John V. Neumann, the mysterious leader of a group. The trailer shows these characters in intense scenes, hinting at serious emotions and complex relationships.
Plot Overview
Petals of Reincarnation follows Tōya Senji, a high schooler who feels overshadowed by his older brother. His life changes when he meets Haito, a Kendo master who uses a cursed sword linked to past lives. She introduces him to a hidden world of spirits and secret clans.
As Tōya trains, he learns that true strength comes from within. The anime mixes action, emotion, and mystery and will premiere in 2026.
