Hanabusa’s impressive resume also includes No Longer Heroine (2015), Keep Your Hands Off Eizouken! (2020), and Mr. Osomatsu (2022), promising a dynamic and engaging adaptation.

Each of their respective groups will also contribute newly-written theme songs for the movie.
Wataru Momose’s original Romantic Killer manga, which won the grand prize of the second “Jump Vertical Scroll Manga Award,” was serialized in Shonen Jump+ from 2019 to 2020. The series has already received an anime adaptation, which streamed on Netflix in October 2022. Momose expressed his excitement, noting the “gorgeousness” and “enthusiasm” of the project, even joking that the film’s script is “even more chaotic” than his original manga.
VIZ Media, the English publisher of the manga, describes the story as Anzu being forced to navigate an altered reality where she must befriend Tsukasa Kazuki, a popular schoolmate, only to find he might not be so bad after all.
