Crunchyroll Senior Vice President Mitchel Berger has indicated that “more content” for Solo Leveling is likely in the future, following the successful conclusion of Season 2. Speaking to Deadline at Cannes’ Marché du Film on May 20, 2025, Berger stated, “We just concluded Season 2, which did really well for us, so I’m sure there will be more content in future. We’re not sure exactly when, but it will be here and fans will continue to see the story.”

Berger also discussed the release strategy for Demon Slayer Kimetsu no Yaiba: Infinity Castle Movie 1 and the complementary relationship between theatrical releases and streaming, citing Solo Leveling as an example. He also highlighted Crunchyroll’s focus on expanding its presence in India and Southeast Asia, among other regions.
These comments align with previous optimistic remarks from individuals associated with the series. Solo Leveling producer Sota Furuhashi has expressed anticipation for a third season, though he humorously suggested a delay until the next Olympics to ensure animators get adequate rest. Both Furuhashi and animation producer Atsushi Kaneko have emphasized the need for fan support to bring Season 3 to fruition. Crunchyroll CEO Rahul Purini has also expressed hope for a third season, noting the challenge of finding the right timing given the high demand for anime and staff interest in other projects.

Solo Leveling Season 2 garnered significant fan attention. The series has received a second consecutive nomination for the Hollywood Creative Alliance’s Astra TV Awards for Best Anime Series. It joins The Apothecary Diaries, DAN DA DAN, Dragon Ball DAIMA, Fire Force, and Lazarus in this category.
Crunchyroll offers both seasons of Solo Leveling with English subtitles and dubbing. The service describes the series as: “They say whatever doesn’t kill you makes you stronger, but that’s not the case for the world’s weakest hunter Sung Jinwoo. After being brutally slaughtered by monsters in a high-ranking dungeon, Jinwoo came back with the System, a program only he could see, that’s leveling him up in every way. Now, he’s inspired to discover the secrets behind his powers and the dungeon that spawned them.”
