The Rising of the Shield Hero Season 4 has officially launched its first episode today, July 9, 2025, accompanied by the release of its creditless opening video. This highly anticipated season, previously announced to consist of 12 episodes, was notably ranked as the 12th most awaited anime of the current season.

The opening theme, titled “Resolution,” is performed by MADKID. Kinema Citrus returns to handle the animation for this season. The ending theme song, “Once in Eternity” by Chiai Fujikawa, had its creditless video revealed yesterday.

The synopsis for the premiere episode details Naofumi and his group’s journey to Siltvelt, a demi-human nation, to negotiate with Q’ten Lo, who is planning Raphtalia’s assassination. Their mission hits an unforeseen snag due to the warm reception they receive from Siltvelt’s inhabitants and leaders.
