Mobile Suit Gundam Wing Celebrates 30 Years With New Manga, Video, and More

Mobile Suit Gundam Wing is celebrating its 30th anniversary in a big way. At the 2025 San Diego Comic-Con, Bandai Namco shared exciting new content with fans. This includes a special anniversary video, new artwork, and a brand-new manga that connects past storylines.

There is also good news for movie lovers, as Endless Waltz is returning to theaters. In this article, we will take a closer look at all the new announcements and why Gundam Wing is still loved after 30 years.

Gundam Wing 30th Anniversary: Everything Revealed

At San Diego Comic-Con 2025, Bandai Namco celebrated 30 years of Mobile Suit Gundam Wing with a special panel called “GUNDAM Showcase – Featuring 30 Years of Gundam Wing.”

Fans were treated to several exciting announcements. First, a new artwork inspired by the show’s classic “eye catch” scenes was revealed. Then, a special video titled Mobile Suit Gundam Wing – Operation 30th –, directed by Toru Iwasawa, was released on the official GundamInfo channel.

A new manga was also announced, created by artist Sakura Asagi and writer Katsuyuki Sumizawa. The story takes place between Endless Waltz and Frozen Teardrop, and the first chapter is already available online. In addition, the movie Endless Waltz will return to theaters in Japan and North America later this year, giving fans a chance to enjoy it again on the big screen.

Gizmodo also shared that the video includes a short tease of Frozen Teardrop, but a full adaptation may not happen. Meanwhile, Gundam is planning other anniversary events, such as the 10th year of Iron-Blooded Orphans.

Originally aired in 1995, Gundam Wing became a hit in the West through Toonami and is still loved for its powerful story, deep characters, and message of peace.
