Explore Pokémon Ecology in New Animated Short Film
The Weibo post announced the short, stating that while Pokémon helps us appreciate the world’s beauty, this special animation invites trainers to explore the ecology of the Pokémon world. The Pokémon Ecology Diary became available on official Pokémon channels at noon on April 22nd (Chinese Standard Time).

This release follows the recent Dragonite and the Mail Carrier anime short, which debuted on Pokémon Day (February 27th). CoMix Wave Films, known for Makoto Shinkai’s works, handled the animation for Dragonite and the Mail Carrier, with Taku Kimura as the director. The creative team included Kentaro Nana (Script/Composition), Asuka Dokai (Character Design Draft), Maho Aoki (Anime Character Design/Chief Animation Direction), Tasuku Watanabe (Art Direction), and Evan Call (Music).
Looking ahead, Pokémon fans can anticipate Pokémon Concierge Season 2 in the fall, as well as Pokémon Horizons: Season 2—The Search for Laqua, which premiered in the U.S. in February, and The Search for Laqua Part 2, set to premiere stateside on April 25th.
