Akatsuki Games, TOHO, and Production I.G. have announced that their upcoming mobile title, Kaiju No. 8 THE GAME, has surpassed 200,000 global pre-registrations. This milestone comes shortly after the release of the game’s main trailer and key visuals, offering a glimpse into the gameplay and characters. Kaiju No. 8 Mobile Game Hits 200,000 Pre-Registrations
To commemorate this achievement, all pre-registered players will receive 1,000 Dimensional Crystals upon the game’s launch. This in-game currency can be used for various purchases and upgrades. Further pre-registration milestones promise additional rewards, with 500,000 registrations unlocking the playable ★4 character [Aiming for Greater Heights] Mina Ashiro and other premium items. The game previously reached 100,000 pre-registrations on April 25th.
The voice cast from the Kaiju No. 8 anime will reprise their roles in the game, including Masaya Fukunishi as Kafka Hibino/Kaiju No. 8, Wataru Kato as Reno Ichikawa, and Asami Seto as Mina Ashiro.

The Kaiju No. 8 manga, created by Naoya Matsumoto, has been serialized on Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+ since July 2020 and currently has 15 volumes. Viz Media handles its English publication. The first 12-episode season of the anime adaptation by Production I.G aired in Spring 2024, with a theatrical release including a bonus episode in March 2025. A second season of the anime is slated to premiere in July 2025.
