The final season of My Hero Academia is shaping up to be a big one, and now it’s confirmed that BUMP OF CHICKEN will be performing the ending theme. The song is titled “I” and is scheduled to debut in the anime on October 11. Since the season kicks off a week earlier on October 4, fans will have to wait until the second episode to hear the new track. An announcement video has also been released, teasing what’s to come.
BUMP OF CHICKEN Joins My Hero Academia Final Season
This marks the eighth and final season of My Hero Academia, which adapts Kohei Horikoshi’s popular manga about a world where most people are born with superpowers known as Quirks. The anime will be available for streaming worldwide on Crunchyroll and on Ani-One Asia’s YouTube channel through its ULTRA membership.
The original manga, serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump from 2014 to 2024, tells the story of Izuku Midoriya, a powerless boy who dreams of becoming a hero. His encounter with the legendary All Might changes his fate forever, setting him on the path to becoming one of the greatest heroes of his generation.
Over the years, My Hero Academia has expanded far beyond the TV series, with four movies, multiple video games, and even a live-action Hollywood adaptation in the works. Fans can also look forward to more anime content with My Hero Academia: Vigilantes season two, arriving in January 2026.
