This release commemorates the ongoing anime adaptation of My Hero Academia: Vigilantes, and it coincided with the premiere of Episode 2 of the anime.

Additionally, new action visuals showcasing key characters from the series, including Koichi, Pop☆Step, Knuckleduster, and Shota Aizawa / Eraser Head, have also been revealed.

The My Hero Academia: Vigilantes manga is based on Kohei Horikoshi’s original work and is written by Hideyuki Furuhashi with art by Betten Court. It was initially serialized in Jump GIGA in 2018 before moving to Shonen Jump+ and concluding in July 2022, totaling 126 chapters across 15 volumes. VIZ Media holds the English license for the manga.

The Vigilantes manga storyline is set five years prior to the events of the main My Hero Academia series. The first volume, as described by VIZ, follows Koichi Haimawari, who, unable to become an official hero, uses his Quirk for local good deeds. A chance encounter with thugs leads him to team up with two other unconventional heroes. Despite their lack of experience, they bravely (or foolishly) attempt to fight evil, soon realizing the challenges involved.

Crunchyroll is currently streaming the My Hero Academia: Vigilantes anime.
