The trailer confirms the arrival of several fan-favorite characters, including Shampoo’s childhood friend Mousse and Ranma’s spirited okonomiyaki-wielding fiancée, Ukyo. Expect even more martial arts mayhem and romantic entanglements as these iconic characters make their grand entrance.

With the expanded cast, new voice actors are joining the team, while some familiar voices from the original 1989 anime are returning, even in new roles! Rounding out the new additions are Ako Mayama as Cologne, Kazuhiko Inoue (who voiced Mikado Sanzenin in the 1989 Ranma 1/2) as Happosai, and Akira Ishida (Regulus Corneas in Re:ZERO) as Hikaru Gosunkugi.

This new adaptation is directed by Konosuke Ueda at animation studio MAPPA, with Kimiko Ueno handling series composition, Hiromi Taniguchi on character designs, and Kaoru Wada composing the music. The first season is currently available for streaming on Netflix. Keep an eye out for more updates as we get closer to the October premiere!
